So i think the best way to describe my idea is that it is a fun range of dressy day wear that experiments with a wide range of contrasting fabrics and materials. The purpose of the trip to Hong Kong was for me to find the exact colour, fibres and textures that i was hoping for... It couldnt have been more successful for myself and I think the trip was a huge learning experience and worth every second. I came home with the perfect materials for my designs; creamy beige and pale blue ostrich feathers, amazing chiffon tartan, gold sequinned jersey and contrasting coloured sheets of vinyl. This meant i could go ahead with everything and not have to make any changes or adjustments, which is something i was a little concerned about.
After collating a scrapbook of interesting images and designs that had inspired me over the past year, i found it quite easy when it came to creating the look of my final range. I did not run short of ideas, however i could not put my finger on the base or the exact direction of the range as a whole. I think this might be because my designs are a little unpredicatable. I dont think that this will be a problem, however when asked what my range is about or what it is inspired by, i find it very difficult to give an answer. "You just have to see it."
