OUTFIT # 3

ORIGINAL TRADE SKETCHES
This is one outfit i was always quite confident on achievng my exact first design, however after basing my colour scheme on the tartan chiffon i was to find while in Hong Kong, my colour pallette was open for change. It was mostly the colour of the chiffon vest that ended up being much different than originaly planned. but i think it successfully stands out a little more.

SNEAK PEAK AT THE FINISHED PRODUCT...
The bodice dress was quite straight forward and was just a matter of pinching out a little areas to create a perfect fit! The twisted detail at down the front panel however, was very time consuming and had to be finished before the dress could actually be put together. The dress actually looks amazing on its own, it is almost a shame to cover any of it with the vest... Although I LOVE the was the Sequinned Sleeve Chiffon Vest turned out.
The drape of the vest was achieved through adding largeright angle extentions to the pattern and then an added exagerated panel in the centre back. It was quite fun to play with. The sleeves however were a little more complicated and it took me quite a few toilles to get them perfect. The sequinned fabric being so thick meant i broke soooooooooo many needles!
